I've been away from DXL for 5 years. Why can't I do this? ("Verification Method") is an enumerated type with 7 possible values) -------------------------------------------- if (o."Verification Method) == "Demonstration") { (etc.) -------------------------------------------- This is flagged as "incorrect arguments for (==)". Anyone know what's wrong?
Thanks, it's good to be back. T FormerIBMer - Wed Jul 25 14:07:01 EDT 2018 |
Re: Comparing enumeration type to string o."Verification Method" is an attribute reference (AttrRef__) . if you want to get the content of an attribute reference, just cast it to a string. Casting is done simply by concatenating it with another string, e.g. an empty string "". So, your code should be if (o."Verification Method" "" == "Demonstration") {... |
